Thanksgiving Food Drive Data Collection

THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE

Admiral did an amazing job bringing in donations for the Food Drive all last week. Mrs. Wood encouraged classes to bring in items for those who may need a little extra assistance at this time of year. Once the food was collected we needed to organize it to go to The Salvation Army.

Sooooo I turned it into a Data Management Activity!

Terry Fox Run

Terry Fox
Thank you for all of the donations to the Terry Fox run.
Our class raised $69.00. Fantastic!
The class also ran countless laps collecting house points.

Madalynn doing cartwheels more often than running!

Marshmallows and Pasta

                                               Marshmallow and Pasta Co-operation Task
Task - As a team, build a structure as high as you can using marshmallows and pasta.

New and Old Friends at work
While everyone put in a wonderful effort some groups saw greater success than others,
not every group was able to build a structure. Don't worry we will try again soon.

The largest structure by far goes to Cadence, Maya, Madalynn and Madi.
They not only build more than one structure but they attached the all of the creations.

The highest structure award goes to Tyler and Kian!

Summer! New Web sites, APPS and Photos to CHECK OUT!

Hello Everyone,

Wow! This summer has flown by, I can not believe we are into early August. This summer has been a blur of amazing playdates, visits with friends, swimming, soccer and cottage trips for Ella, Logan and I. I'm not sure where July went. Mr. Wood, Ella, Logan and I just got back from a wonderful week at a cottage with a group of friends, we went canoeing, paddle boating, kayaking, swimming and had a great time. Again, time flies when you are having fun. I think Ella and Logan wished we could stay there all summer long they had a such a great time playing with their friends.

Ella and Logan had a short nap last summer during the day so I had a small window of down time to get things done, but this summer no such luck and we are on the go all day long. Don't get me wrong I am loving every minute of it.

I hope you and your family are having a fantastic summer doing whatever makes you smile and laugh. Please make sure you are reading and writing a bit here and there, you worked hard to get where you are and a little of both each day (or at least three times a week) will keep you ready for grade 3.

Please drop by in September to say Hi and tell me about your summer.

Take care,

Love, Mrs. Wood
