Summer! New Web sites, APPS and Photos to CHECK OUT!

Hello Everyone,

Wow! This summer has flown by, I can not believe we are into early August. This summer has been a blur of amazing playdates, visits with friends, swimming, soccer and cottage trips for Ella, Logan and I. I'm not sure where July went. Mr. Wood, Ella, Logan and I just got back from a wonderful week at a cottage with a group of friends, we went canoeing, paddle boating, kayaking, swimming and had a great time. Again, time flies when you are having fun. I think Ella and Logan wished we could stay there all summer long they had a such a great time playing with their friends.

Ella and Logan had a short nap last summer during the day so I had a small window of down time to get things done, but this summer no such luck and we are on the go all day long. Don't get me wrong I am loving every minute of it.

I hope you and your family are having a fantastic summer doing whatever makes you smile and laugh. Please make sure you are reading and writing a bit here and there, you worked hard to get where you are and a little of both each day (or at least three times a week) will keep you ready for grade 3.

Please drop by in September to say Hi and tell me about your summer.

Take care,

Love, Mrs. Wood

To PERSUADE, INFORM or ENTERTAIN?

Where do we see advertisements in the world around us?

Success Criteria for creating/developing your own product-
After watching a number of commercials, online advertisements and ads in magazines, we discussed what was interesting about them, what the students liked. Did they INFORM, ENTERTAIN or PERSUADE us to buy a product.
We developed the following Success Criteria for the students projects

I would love to try these out Annabel and Dev.

I'm sure people would love this Ashawnee!
