Crazy Obstacle Courses

I assigned groups for the students to work in. They collectively created obstacle courses, trying to include as many pieces of equipment as possible, remembering to vary the ability (as not everyone would be able to do exactly what was asked) and make the main goal fun.
Over the course of a week the planning was done and then the action began. The students learned a great deal about working in a group and trying in include lots of ideas, over coming challenges, mixing and narrowing a zillion ideas and lots of interrupting each other. Overall a blast was had by all and I was quite impressed with the students courses and ability to change the plan if a piece of equipment wasn't available.
